Mrs. Margaret Bonnell Wofford Carter, 76, of Greenville, AL; formerly of Gainesville, GA, passed away Sunday, January 14, 2024 at her residence.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday, January 19, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Everest Carlisle will officiate. Interment will follow in Mulberry Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Thursday, January 18, 2024 from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.
Born September 22, 1947 in Gainesville, GA, she was the daughter of the late James “Jake” Wofford and the late Ruby Lou Smith Wofford. She was a homemaker and a member of Mulberry Baptist Church.
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Carter was preceded in death by husband, Cecil James Carter and her step mother, Lavonia Wofford.
Mrs. Carter is survived by her daughters, Judy Carlisle (Bobby) of Jefferson, Lynn Vick of Greenville, AL, June Carter of Hoschton; sister, Ann Reeves of Sylvia, NC; grandchildren, Nathaniel Carlisle, Ashley Carter, Dolly Carter; great grandchildren, Mason Carter, Shane Carter and a number of other loving relatives.
