William Wayne “Bill” Frizzell

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. William Wayne “Bill” Frizzell, age 72, of Pendergrass, Georgia, who went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, January 16, 2024, following a stroke he suffered in November, 2023. He was born on December 1, 1951, in Des Moines, Iowa the son of the late William Rex Frizzell and the late Margie Beck Frizzell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his devoted and loving wife of 52 years, Paula Brewer Frizzell, and his son Robert Frizzell.

Mr. Frizzell was a graduate of Norcross High School, Norcross, Georgia. Bill was a former employee of the General Motors Assembly Plant in Doraville, Georgia, and a Correctional Officer for Hall County Prison System. He was also a long-time active member of Foundation Baptist Church (formerly Center Grove Baptist Church) in Pendergrass for over 50 years.

Survivors include his daughter, Kathlee Frizzell of Pendergrass, GA. Two grandsons, Chase Frizzell and Ryan Frizzell both of Pendergrass, GA. Sister, Tava Frizzell Kirk (Jim) of Atlanta, GA. Uncle, Bobby Beck of Sylva, North Carolina.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Thursday January 25, 2024 at Foundation Baptist Church with Reverend Storey Tate officiating with interment to follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 P.M. until time of service at Foundation Baptist Church.
