John Wesley “West” Gulley

John Wesley “West” Gulley, 42 of Cumming, GA passed away on Wednesday, January 24, 2024.

He was born on August 6, 1981 in Midland, TX to Nancy Ann Reid.

West married Victoria Christine Gregory on November 27, 2004. They were blessed with Shay in 2005 and Jamie in 2006. West was a devoted, loving father.

West enlisted in the United States Navy in 2005 and was stationed in Everett, WA. He was deployed several times aboard the USS Abraham Lincoln during the Iraq War. He was honorably discharged from the Navy in 2009. In 2011, West enlisted in the United States Army. He was stationed in Germany during 2011 and 2012.  He was brought stateside to Fort Drum New York in 2013. West was medically discharged from the Army in 2014.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 18 years, Victoria Christine Gulley, and his mother Nancy Ann Reid.

West is survived by his son, Shay WestLee Gulley of Tylertown, MS, his daughter, Jamie Annabeth Gulley of Cumming, GA. and the child of his heart, Sakura Montgomery; his brothers, Randall “Bear” Gulley of Buford, GA and Michael Gulley of Killeen, TX; and his dear friends: Michelle and Josh McShane, Chareese Stausing, and Mia Montgomery.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, January 30, 2024 at 4:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Home.
