Marvin Sidney Buice, age 70, of Conyers, GA passed away on Tuesday, February 13, 2024. Marvin was preceded in death by his parents, Melford Graham Buice and Blonnie Buice, and his sister and her husband, Melba Buice (Harold) Morris. Marvin is survived by wife, Rebecca Buice; daughters, Emily Buice and Kayla (Mark) Owens; along with uncles and many cousins. Several of Marvin’s closest and longest friends considered him to be a brother. Marvin was born on October 12, 1953 in Buford, GA and his family moved to Bremen where Marvin graduated from Bremen High School in 1972. He was of the Baptist faith.
He spent nearly 50 years as a colorist first for paint companies and eventually going to work for stucco companies. He was revered by many as he was excellent and one of a kind in this field. He could match any color by sight, not needing a machine. He retired in July 2023.
Marvin loved his music and still played the guitar. As a teen and young adult he played in a band. As an older adult he would sit in at local establishments playing with the band. He was an avid Nascar fan and watched every race. If he hadn’t been a colorist, he would have loved to have raced cars for a living.
There will be a Celebration of Life Service on Monday, February 19, 2024 at 2:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home. The family has asked in lieu of flowers, to purchase seeds or plants that may be planted outside. Marvin’s ashes will be placed with each planting so he will live on.

The written memories will be placed in a book for his family to be able to remember and smile upon the life he had here on this earth. We are grateful that you share these memories with us.
