Charles Edward Demory, Jr., 78, peacefully transitioned with his wife by his side on Thursday February 15, 2024.
Charles was preceded in death by his grandparents: Scott and Julia Demory. Frank Smith and Josephine Brown. Parents: Charles Edward Demory, Sr. and Mary Elizabeth Westbrooks. Brother: Michael Westbrooks. Father and Mother in law: Thomas (Elgie) Burce Jr.
Charles was a member of Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. He was a faithful member of the Gospel Choir. Serving within the church until his health declined.
He was a free spirited person who had many passions. One of which was gardening. He and Juanese were known for their seasonal gardens. Charles cared deeply for the people that he loved. He made an impact on many lives. He never hesitated to help others in need.
He leaves his cherished memory to his loving wife of 28 years Juanese Burce Demory.
Charles is also survived by his sons: Tony Demory, Quentin Demory, Lamar Hayes, Charles Cook, and Juan Henderson. Daughters: Deborah Demory, Tonya Demory, Cassandra Demory, Caresa Etienne, Cassandra Cunningham, Miracle Demory and Charlisa Demory. Brothers: Lateef (Beverly) Hamin, Patrick Westbrooks, and Freddie Robinson. Sisters: Theresa Westbrooks, Deborah Everette, Stephanie Westbooks-Watkins, Vanessa (Douglas) Ellison, and Patrice Westbrooks. Brother in laws: Emmanuel Burce, Anuel (Jessica) Burce. Sister in laws: Mary Burce, Adrienne Burce, and Angela Burce. A host of grandchildren, great- grandchildren, and relatives.
Funeral service will be held on Friday, February 23,2024 at 1:00 PM at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church. Visitation will be held on Thursday, February 22, 2024 at Pleasant Hill United Methodist Church between the hours of 3:00 PM-8:00 PM. Family will receive friends between 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
