Wayne Karnes

Wayne Karnes 80, of Gainesville GA, passed away on February 20, 2024 after a valiant battle for life.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, February 23, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Jimmy Wehunt and Rev. Drewery Loggins will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home Thursday, February 22, 2024 from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m.

He is survived by his wife Jane Karnes, Toby Holbrook (son), Pegey Moore (sister), Bonnie Johnson (sister), and 2 grandchildren Andrew and Silas Holbrook.

Wayne was born on August 3, 1943 to Edith and Austin Karnes in Columbia Kentucky. Most of his schooling was completed in Kentucky. Once his schooling was completed, he then joined the US Army to serve our country. After serving his time in the US Army, Wayne's adventure started in the automotive industry. His career started as an auto mechanic and he retired as a GMC Dealership owner in Somerset Kentucky. Wayne has lived a full and fruitful life, filled with love.
