Gerald P. "Jerry" Mau

Gerald P. “Jerry” Mau, 64, of Dawsonville passed away Saturday, March 2, 2024 at his residence.

Born February 28, 1960 in Saginaw, Michigan to the late Richard and Nancy Mau, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 9 years having moved from Cherokee County.  Jerry was employed as a Master Mechanic by automobile dealerships prior to becoming disabled.  He enjoyed playing Texas Holdem, fishing, hunting, and was an avid NASCAR and Georgia Bulldog fan.  Also preceding him in death were a sister and a brother.

Surviving are his wife, Donna Mau, Dawsonville; children, Teena Semprit, New Yark, Paul Mau, Florida, Savannah Mau, Florida; stepchildren, Christin Lawhorne, Woodstock, Christopher Lawhorne, Tuscaloosa, AL; 3 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren; sister and brother in law, Patricia and John Alsgaard, Arizona; and several nieces, nephews and other relatives.

A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, March 9, 2024 at 11:30 a.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 9 from 11 a.m. until 11:30 a.m.
