Earl Holman

Mr. Earl Holman, age 76, of Murrayville, gracefully embraced the embrace of the Lord on Sunday, March 10, 2024. Born on December 4, 1947, in Hall County, Earl was the cherished son of the late Otis and Montine Holman. He was reunited in heaven with his brother Barry Holman, as well as his brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law Bud and Vera McQueen, Nathaniel McQueen, and Marie McQueen.

For six decades, Earl Holman's voice resonated with the praise of Jesus throughout the United States. He lived by the words of King David from Psalms 108:1 KJV, "O God, my heart is fixed; I will sing and give praise, even with my glory." Whether harmonizing in quartets or lifting his voice in his cherished Solid Rock Baptist Church, Earl's soul seemed to effortlessly pour out in song. Fondly known as "Papa Earl," he was dearly loved by his friends and church family. Among his favorite pursuits were hunting and fishing, but his true passion lay in his workshop, "Big Earl's Fix It Shop," where he delighted in repairing anything that crossed his path. Earl's legacy leaves an indelible mark on countless hearts and lives, and his absence will be deeply felt.

Earl leaves behind his devoted wife of fifty-five years, Amanda Holman of Murrayville, along with his sons and daughters-in-law, Keith and Jill Holman of Murrayville, and Kevin and Susan Holman of Clermont. He will be dearly missed by his grandchildren, Austin Holman, Ansley Henson (Brise), and Abbigail Holman (Sawyer Smith). He is also survived by his brother and sister-in-law, Paul and Vickie Holman, brother-in-law Haskell McQueen, sister-in-law Lillian McQueen, and numerous nieces, nephews, and other relatives.

Funeral services to honor Earl's life will take place at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at Solid Rock Baptist Church, officiated by Pastor Kevin Holman and Reggie Powell. Following the service, interment will be held in the church cemetery. Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects from 4:00 PM to 9:00 PM on Tuesday at Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home, located at 2068 Highway 19 North Dahlonega, GA 30533.
