Laverne A. Mahaffey Brown

Mrs. Laverne A Mahaffey Brown, 62, of Gainesville passed away Sunday, March 24, 2024 at her residence.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 29, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Stanley Jackson will officiate. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m.

Born on March 4, 1962 she was the daughter of Irena Buffington Jackson and the late Howard Mahaffey.

Mrs. Brown is survived by her spouse, Freddis Brown of Gainesville; mother, Irena Jackson of Gainesville; brothers, Dwight Jackson, James Zell Jackson, Edward Jackson all of Gainesville; sisters, Juanita Jackson of Flowery Branch, Bernice Jarrells of Gainesville, Valarie Mahaffey; nieces, Anika Jackson of Braselton, Tara Chandler; nephew, Zachary Chandler of Flowery Branch; niece, Paige Chandler, Xochitt II Mahaffey; cousins, Marrath Carrath of Gainesville, Essie Randolph of Gainesville, Virginia Aiddie of Lula, Genise Jones of Cleveland; nephew, Teco Jackson, Jr. of SC; great nephew, great nephew, Christopher Roundy of Braselton; great nieces, Serenity Cheeks of Braselton, Tamijah Chandler, Zamaria Chandler and other loving relatives.
