Mr. Garry Melvin Carpenter, Jr., 50, of Oakwood, passed away Friday, April 5, 2024.

A graveside service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 8, 2024 in Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Tony Lovell will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Sunday, April 7, 2024 from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Born on February 17, 1974 in Gainesville, he was the son of Judy Morgan Wade and the late Garry Melvin Carpenter, Sr. Mr. Carpenter was of the Baptist faith.

Mr. Carpenter is survived by his wife, Tina Evans of Oakwood; daughters, Kristy Carpenter of Gillsville, Katelyn Carpenter of Gillsville; son, Bryan Carpenter of Cleveland; grandchildren, Kimora Carpenter, Zena Pinkston, Jayla Pinkston, Wyatt Carpenter; mother, Judy Wade of Gillsville; brothers and sisters in law, Stacey and Diane Carpenter of Clarkesville, Dwayne and Jenny Carpenter of Flowery Branch; mother and father in law, Sammy and Irene Evans of Oakwood and a number of other loving relatives.
