Mary Johnston

Mary Johnston, 80 of Gainesville passed away Wednesday April 24, 2024.

Mrs. Johnston is preceded in death by parents- father Sydney Reeves and mother Blanche (Glover) Reeves, Brother- Farris Reeves, Sister- Sydney ‘Peggy’ Chairs, Grandson John Vega, Great grandson- Zachary Woolen. 

Survivors include her brothers- Jack Reeves of Oklahoma City and Bunkie Reeves of Capitola Florida. Children- John Johnston of Truth or Consequences, New Mexico, Katrina Vega of Gainesville, Georgia, and Jewel T Johnston of Greenville, Texas. Grandchildren: Mandy and Anwar Rathore of Gainesville, Tiffany and Kane Dupree of Oakwood, Chelsea and Joseph Roberts of Murrayville, Kelly and Casey Boyles of Rio Rancho, New Mexico, Janelle Stratton of Rio Rancho, New Mexico. 10 great- grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and friends who will miss her dearly, yet we will cherish the memories made forever. 

She loved to travel and was always full of life no matter where she was. She loved the Lord and wanted to share his love with those around her. She would always end her conversations with ‘I love you hunny, God Bless you, bye bye’ as we hold on to these words, until we meet again… 

There will be no formal services held for Mrs. Johnston, and at the family's request her remains will be cremated.
