Sheila Elaine Heard

Shelia Elaine Heard, 71, of Dawsonville passed away peacefully on Thursday, May 2, 2024. She was born August 18, 1952, to the late H. B. and Virginia Burnette. She was a member of Dawsonville Baptist Church. She retired from Forsyth County Clerk of Court.

She loved her family; her grandchildren were her life. She was THE BEST Gramma to her babies. She never missed a game, school function, party or an opportunity for a grandkids sleepover.

She is preceded in death by her parents, H.B. and Viginia Burnette, Brother, Wayne Burnette, Daughter-in-law, Trisha Heard, Nephew, Kevin Burnette, along with other loving family.

Survivors include her husband of 50 years, Joe Heard. Children, Karrie & Stan King, Brad Heard, and Kacie & Shawn Boyd. Grandchildren, Grayson & Bryce Bryant, Griffin King, Ellis Heard, Asher Heard, Copeland Boyd, Sadler Boyd, and Branson Boyd. Great grandchild, Colton Bryant. Brother and Sister-in-law, Doug & Jana Burnette, Sister-in-law, Lisa Burnette, several nieces & nephews, lots of cousins and other relatives.

She was a wife, a best friend, a momma, and perhaps her favorite title, a gramma. But to us, she was our everything. She will be greatly missed by all.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, May 7, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Cory Gilleland will officiate.  Interment will follow    at Dawsonville Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday, May 6, 2024 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Tuesday from 10 a.m. until the service hour.

In lieu of flowers-please consider a trip to Marshall’s or HomeGoods in her honor.  Shelia would want you to buy something random that may remind you of her. After all, she was ALWAYS to be found at one of these stores!
