Frank William Pless

Mr. Frank William Pless, age 85 of Toccoa passed away Thursday, May 2, 2024 at his residence.

A son of the late Alvin and Clara Smith Pless, he was born May 11, 1938 in Stephens County, Georgia where he lived all his life.  He had worked at several companies in Toccoa before retiring from Habersham Plantation.  He loved singing and playing bluegrass music.  He was a member of Liberty Baptist Church.  He was the last surviving member of his family. His wife of 34 years, Janet Dianne Perry Pless passed away on May11, 2024.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by eight sisters and four brothers. 

Survivors include two daughters, Debra (Cylar) Dickerson of Toccoa, Georgia and Denise Ishman of Richmond Hill, Georgia; step-daughter, Michelle (Joe) Pursley of Jefferson, Georgia; five grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren; a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be Saturday, May 18, 2024, 3 p.m. at Evans Funeral Home Chapel, 1380 Winder Highway, Jefferson, Georgia with The Reverend Dugar Strickland officiating. The family will receive friends Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 1 p.m. until the service time.

Private family inurnment will be in the Stephens Memorial Gardens at a later date..
