Johnny Grady Smith

Johnny Grady Smith age 89 of Gainesville passed away Friday, May 17, 2024 at Pruitt Health-Lanier in Buford, GA.

Funeral services will be held on Monday May 20, 2024 in the chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home – Main Campus.  The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Monday May 20, 2024 from 10:00 am until 12:00 pm.

He was born on May 7, 1935 in Gainesville, Georgia.  He was retired from Lockheed.  He was a member of Living Mission United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Sybil Smith; son, James Richard Smith; brother, Barney Smith, and Jay Smith; sisters, June Smith, Beatrice Ferguson and Ruth Martin.

He is survived by sons and daughters in law, Bobby and Shirley Smith and David and Dianna Smith; his 6 grandchildren; Tauna and Demetric Rucker, Jennifer and Ken Drake, Star Clark, Shane Smith, Derek and Karen Smith, Tadd Edmondson, Donna and Chuck Stowers, and his 16 great-grandchildren; Aaron Cheatham, Kirkland Cheatham, Bailey Smith, Bentley Davidson, Mason Smith, Tristan Drake, Elijah Parsons, Makenzie King, Alicia Rucker, Chantevia Rucker, Adilyn Smith, Karlie Drake, Trent Edmondson, Coby Edmondson, Summer and Andy Standridge, and Taylor and Sean Spratt.
