Leon Grizzle

Leon Grizzle, 63, of Dahlonega passed away Thursday, May 30, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center.

Born July 13, 1960, Leon was born to the late Gene Grizzle and Susie Sanford Weaver and was a lifelong resident of Dahlonega.  He was of Baptist faith and a graduate of Lumpkin County High School.  He spent his career at Torrington, Sawnee EMC, and Koyo.  Leon loved to be at home on his farm with his dogs and cattle.  He was a good husband, neighbor, and friend.

Surviving are his wife of 27 years, Denise Grizzle of Dahlonega; brother, Mike Grizzle (Patricia) of Dahlonega; step-children, Cory Parks (Suzanne) of South Carolina, Megan Durant (Kyle) and their son, Calum Durant of Cumming; niece, Tori Grizzle of Dahlonega; other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, June 2, 2024 at 3 p.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Joey Gilbert will officiate.  Interment will follow at Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday from 1 p.m. until the hour of service.
