Stephen Andrew Albigese

Stephen Andrew Albigese, age 73, of Gainesville, Georgia passed away on July 1, 2024.

Mr. Albigese was born on June 19, 1951 in Rockville Centre, New York to the late Robert M. Albigese and Mary Jane Reilly Albigese. Steve graduated from Garden City High School in 1969. He graduated from Emory University in 1974 with a BBA, majoring in Accounting. He had a long career in Information Technology Management for several notable Atlanta and Fortune 500 companies. Most recently, he was employed by Fiserv in Alpharetta, Georgia, and had just recently retired in March, 2024.

He is survived by his son, Matthew Albigese of Peachtree Corners, Georgia, along with grandchildren, Taylor, Parker, Ryann & Avery Albigese. Mr. Albigese is also survived by his daughter, Tara Van Ness (Carrie) of Palm Bay, Florida, along with grandchildren, Micah & Mya Wilburn.  Mr. Albigese was a loving grandfather known as “Pops”, who was very proud of his six grandchildren. Pops will be dearly missed by all.

Mr. Albigese is survived by his sister, Patty Albigese Robbins, and his brother, John Albigese, both of Gainesville, Georgia.  He was predeceased by his older brother, Robert M. “Bobby” Albigese, Jr.  He is survived by niece, Liz Robbins & nephew, Max Robbins, as well as aunt & uncle, Ned & Marilyn Reilly and three first cousins. He is also survived by his former wife of 31 years, Connie Albigese.

The family will hold a private memorial service at a later date to celebrate the life of Stephen A. Albigese.
