Evelyn Marjorie Tolbert Dillon

Evelyn Marjorie Tolbert Dillon, known as "Margie," was born on October 24, 1958, in Dahlonega, GA, to the late Leon "Cobb" Tolbert and Lena Belle.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Jessica and Guy Cambron; grandchildren Katherine, Peyton, and Maggie Cambron; brothers Johnny Tolbert and James Tolbert, and numerous other relatives.

Margie was preceded in death by her siblings Ruby Satterfield, Ralph Tolbert, Dorothy Tolbert, Geraldine Grogan, Shirley Grizzle, Barbara Gazaway, Judy Sorenson, Linda Reece, William Tolbert, Ruth Lance, Mary Jane Moore, Carolyn Sheriff, Mabel Tolbert Trammell, and special nephew BJ Trammell.

Margie was an amazing "Mawmaw" to her grandbabies and loved them with her whole heart. Spoiling them was her passion in life. She was also a great cook, poet, and artist, though many did not know this. She loved being in nature, taking walks in the woods, fishing, shooting BB guns with her grandson Peyton, and watching each grandchild on the soccer field or baseball field. She loved having Peyton and Maggie in the kitchen with her and taught them how to cook homemade soup and cornbread while they were still in diapers.

Funeral services are scheduled for 4:00 PM on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with Rev. Lyman Caldwell officiating. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, July 17, 2024, from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM at the funeral home.
