Barbara Ann Poss

Barbara Ann Poss, age 87, of Buford, GA, passed away on Wednesday, July 17, 2024.  She was preceded in death by parents, George David and Jewel Brown Stone;  brothers, J T, George, and Truman Stone; sisters, Irene Moore, Hazel Smith, and Grace Greer.  Mrs. Poss is survived by her husband of sixty-nine years, Leon Poss of Buford; son, Jim Poss of Buford; daughter, Debbie Poss Bowers and husband, Ken of Ooltewah, TN; grandchildren, Kyle and Haley Poss of Austin, TX, Kevin and Lisa Bowers of Lawrenceville, GA, Bekah Bowers of Woodstock, GA, Faith Bowers of Aragon, GA, John Bowers of Chattanooga, TN; five great grandchildren; sister, Betty Stone Wright of Norcross, GA; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mrs. Poss was born on January 5, 1937 in Atlanta, GA and she was a homemaker. She was a member of Ivy Creek Baptist Church in Buford and a member of the Early Morning Believers Sunday School Class. Mrs. Poss enjoyed flower gardening, collecting dolls, and spending time with her family, which was very important thing to her. A Funeral Service will be held on Saturday, July 20, 2024 at 3:30 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home with Dr. Craig Dale officiating. Interment will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens in Buford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, July 20 from 1:30 p.m. until 3:15 p.m.
