Hazel Dean (Kubick) Haralson

Obituary Date: Saturday, July 20, 2024

Hazel Dean (Kubick) Haralson, 86, of Murrayville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on 19 July 2024 after an extended battle with Alzheimer's disease. Hazel was born in Ellsworth, Kansas to Thelma and Harry Kubick in 1937. She attended Kanopolis High School and excelled in Cheerleading, typing and sewing. Hazel was a beloved Wife, Mother, Cook, Homemaker and Seamstress.

Hazel met and married a young “Fly Boy” named Charles Haralson. Hazel supported Charles’ Air Force career while raising five daughters and keeping the home fires burning at numerous duty stations throughout the United States.

Hazel began her own career path as a seamstress and later retired from the Hall County Education system as a Special Education Aide. She was a staunch supporter and advocate of The United Service Organization (USO) and Special Olympics

Upon their concurrent retirement Hazel and Charles enjoyed traveling the world together and visited 35 countries. This time gave them the opportunity to enjoy spoiling their 11 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren and 6 four legged furbabies. Hazel also enjoyed camping, fishing and wildlife viewing.

Hazel is survived by her loving and devoted spouse Charles, five daughters and their spouses; Marvie (Tommy), Susan, Ricky (Joanna), Wendy (Jack) and Cindy, Grandchildren; Charla, Brandy, Charlie, James, Cheyenne, Brandon, Deanna, Larry, Ginger, Esai, and Great Grand Children Adrian, Alyssa, Michael, Maddie, Abby, Makala, Mikey, Nathan, Chase, Bentley, Paisey, and Jeremiah.  Hazel is preceded in death by grandson Earl.   

A viewing will be held at Memorial Park Funeral Home on 21 July at 4:30-5:30. Graveside services will be on 22 July at 9:30 meet at Memorial Park Funeral Home to line up vehicles for procession at 10:00.
