Marion Louise Lockwood

Marion Louise Lockwood (née Vogt), affectionately known as G.G. or Weezer, passed away peacefully on July 22, 2024, in Dacula, GA, at the age of 88. Born on July 13, 1936, in Ridgefield Park, NJ, Marion spent her early years in New Jersey before embarking on a journey that would take her to various states including Florida, Georgia, Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Arizona, and Texas, driven by her love for travel and new experiences.

Marion dedicated her life to caring for others, a true caregiver in every sense. Her nurturing nature extended beyond her family, touching the lives of many who had the privilege of knowing her. Marion's hobbies included sewing, painting, and especially traveling by car to explore the vast landscapes of the United States. Her fondness for Arizona and the desert landscapes was evident in her multiple relocations throughout her life. Marion was also a devoted cat lover, always finding room in her home and heart for her feline companions.

She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Hill; son, Keith Lockwood; 15 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren who will deeply miss her presence and unconditional love. Marion was preceded in death by her son, Jon Lockwood.

Services to honor Marion's life will be held Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at 3:30 PM at Hamilton Mill Memorial Chapel. The family kindly requests that in lieu of flowers, contributions be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

The arrangements are under the care of Hamilton Mill Chapel and Gardens in Buford, GA. Marion's legacy of love, care, and adventure will be cherished and remembered by all who knew her.
