Gary M. “Buddy” Hannah

Gary M. “Buddy” Hannah, age 74, of Cleveland, GA, (formerly of Buford, GA), passed away on Tuesday, July 23, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Hubert and Bernice Morgan Hannah; brothers, Donald Hannah, Billy Hannah; sister, Jo Ann Hannah Shomaker; grandson, Elijah Dean Ryder; brother-in-law, Don Shomaker.

Mr. Hannah is survived by his wife of 42 years, Joyce Shadburn Hannah of Cleveland, GA; sons, Dean Irvin (Kathy) Ryder of Columbia, TN, Michael Royce (Kim) Ryder of Tallulah Falls, GA, Charles Wayne (Treasa) Ryder of Lula, GA; nine grandchildren; ten great-grandchildren; sisters, Patsy Hannah of Buford, GA, Kathy (Johnny) Frady of Sugar Hill, GA; brother, Tony (Lynn Hill) Hannah of Suwanee, GA; sister-in-law, Carolyn Monroe Hannah of Buford, GA; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law of the Shadburn family.

Mr. Hannah was born August 11, 1949 in Buford, GA. He was a 1967 graduate of Buford High School. Mr. Hannah was a veteran of the U.S. Marines. He retired from SKF Bearing after 27 years of service. He was a member of Peoples Baptist Church in Flowery Branch, GA. He also worked for American Cy Company in Chamblee, GA. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle.

A Funeral Service will be held on Sunday, July 28, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA, with Rev. Joel Shadburn, and Rev. Dean Irvin Ryder officiating. Interment with graveside service will follow at Broadlawn Memorial Gardens, Buford, GA, with Rev. Morris Shadburn officiating. The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 28, 2024 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:45 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
