Lou Alice Nicholson Scroggs

Mrs. Lou Alice Nicholson Scroggs, age 75 of Wildwood Acres, Cleveland, GA, passed away Friday, July 26, 2024 at her residence.

 

A daughter of the late Arvel and Edith Ploakis Nicholson, she was born January 29, 1949 in Greenville, SC, having lived most of her life in Stephens and White County.   She was a member of the Lighthouse Church in Hollywood, she loved sewing and coloring.  Lou was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great –grandmother, sister and aunt. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a brother Johnny Nicholson.

 

Survivors include her husband R.B. Scroggs of the home, daughter Janet and Doug Holcomb of Cleveland, GA, step-daughters, Teresa and Larry Murray of Toccoa Juanita Theobald of Toccoa, GA, sister Mary and Michael Sorrells of Toccoa, brothers Alic and Donna Nicholson of Eastanollee and Cecil and Connie Nicholson of Franklin County, grandchildren Christie and Jamie Mann, Tanya White and Amanda Graham, Jamie and Whitney White, great-grandchildren Brayden, Cole, Brenleigh and Bennett, seven step-grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews.

 

Services will be 2 PM Monday, July 29, 2024 at the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with the Reverend Ricky Wade and the Reverend Gary Ledford officiating.  The family will receive friends at the Acree-Davis Funeral Home on Monday, July 29, 2024 from Noon until 2 PM.

 

In lieu of flowers the family request memorials be made to White County Mountain Bike team, 771 Westmoreland Road, Cleveland, GA 30528
