Donna Sue Reed

Donna Sue Reed, 70, of Dawsonville passed away Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a period of declining health.

Born January 8, 1954 and raised in Lumpkin County, she had been a resident of Dawsonville for most of her life.  She was a member of Amicalola Baptist Church.  A loving wife, mother, and grandmother, she was very devoted to her family.  Donna was the last of 12 siblings and was also preceded in death by he parents, Robert and Leila Brown.

Surviving are her husband of 55 years, Larry Reed; children, Charmion Morris (Jody), Vicki Lovingood (Cory Bryant), Timothy Reed, Amanda Reed, Brian Reed, all of Dawsonville; grandchildren, Andrew Lovingood (Jordan), Jessica Lovingood (Clabe), Kelly Smart (Andrew), Erica Morris, Brendan Reed, Brooklyn Reed, Bryce Reed; great-grandchildren, Henry Ramirez, Arlo Ferguson; other relatives.

Funeral services will be held Monday, August 5, 2024 at 11 a.m. at Bearden Funeral Home Chapel.  Rev. Lyman Caldwell and Rev. Tom Stradley will officiate.  Interment will follow in Dawsonville City Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday, August 4 from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Monday, August 5 from 10 a.m. until the hour of service.
