Betty Doris Sills

Betty Doris Sills, age 93, of Cleveland, passed away on Wednesday, August 7, 2024.

Mrs. Sills was born on April 18, 1931, in Hall County, to the late Buford and Juanita Savage Satterfield.  She was a bookkeeper before her children were born and later a homemaker. She was the oldest living member of Skitts Mountain Baptist Church.    In addition to her parents, Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Walter Lee Sills; sister, Joan Milford; brother, Adrian Satterfield.

Survivors include her sons and daughters-in-law, David and Libbye Sills, and Doug and Kelley Sills, all of Cleveland; grandchildren, Kristen and Glen Gosnell, Daniel and Lindsey Sills, Dallas Sills, and Sadie Jane Sills, great-grandchildren, Easton and Cooper Gosnell and Casen, Emma Rae and Ellie Sills, sisters, Gwendolyn Kirby, Gainesville Wilma and L.G. Rogers, Lula, Sharon and Danny Densmore, Cleveland; sister-in-law, Sybil Sills, New Hebron, MS.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00 A.M. Friday, August 9, 2024, at Skitts Mountain Baptist Church.  The Rev. Kyle Savage, the Rev. Phillip Robinson and the Rev. Jeff Ertzberger will officiate. Interment will follow in Skitts Mountain Baptist Church Cemetery.

The family will receive friends from 2:00 – 4:00 P.M. and 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Thursday at the funeral home.
