Michael Leonard Runals

(Ret. Captain USN) Michael Leonard Runals, age 73, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Monday, August 5, 2024.    

Private services will be held at Northlake Baptist Church, August 17th at 10am and inurnment will be at the Georgia National Cemetery in Canton, Georgia.

Mr. Runals was born September 25, 1950 in Niagra Falls, New York. He was the son of the late John Runals and Erma Powers Runals.

 He proudly served in the United States Navy and United States Naval Reserve for 32 years He was a loving son, husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.

Michael is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Stephanie Ann Zachary Runals; children, Jana & Brett Lowrey and Sherah English, grandchildren, Zoe, Camille, Emma, Jordyn, Elizabeth, Jonathan and Rose; great-grandson, Lucas and a number of other family and friends.
