Manuel Antonio Alvarez Jacobo

Manuel Antonio Alvarez Jacobo, age 82, of Buford, GA passed away on Friday, September 6, 2024.  He is survived by his wife of fifty-seven years, Anna Julia Alvarez of Buford; daughters, Regina (Gerson) Gomez of Buford, Iris (Oscar) Sanchez of Oregon; sons, Manuel (Norma) Alvarez Leal, Sergio (Alma) Alvarez Leal; seven grandchildren; two brothers, Jesus “Chus” Alvarez, Ramona Alvarez; four sisters, Emma Alvarez, Marta Alvarez, Margot Tremor, Leonor Alvarez; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Mr. Alvarez was born on July 20, 1942 in El Salvador.  He was a retired accountant.  

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at 12:30 p.m. at Prince of Peace Catholic Church, Flowery Branch, GA, with Father Pete Coppola officiating.  The family will receive friends on Thursday, September 12, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA.
