Isabel Ramsbottom

Isabel Ramsbottom left this world and went to her new home with Jesus on September 10, 2024 at the age of 97. Her beloved husband, J. Dana Ramsbottom, Jr. preceded her in death in 1992. Her grandson, Dana Short, also preceded her in death in  2019.

Isabel is survived by her daughters, Nancy Ramsbottom Allen Ohlson (Ray), Susan Ramsbottom Pelt (Peter). Grandchildren, Skip Short (Mendy), Taylor Gilmer (Jeromie), Pete Pelt, Jr. (Katie), Charlie Pelt (Brittany). Great-grandchildren, Samantha Murphy, Hunter Short, Merritt Gilmer, Addie Gilmer, Riley Short, Ali Short, Grace Pelt, Griffin Pelt, and Avery Pelt.         

Isabel and the love of her life, J. Dana Ramsbottom, Jr. made Gainesville their home in 1964. They left their mark in the community by being very active in various organizations. There was never a doubt that family was a priority. Resilience, strength, determination, loving, always a positive attitude, always looking to the future while embracing the past… this best describes Isabel. She has taught her family well and we will miss her.

There will be a private family celebration officiated by Reverend Stuart Higginbotham.
