Julia Bryant Ellis

Julia Bryant Ellis, 95 of Gainesville passed away Tuesday September 17, 2024, at Northeast Georgia Medical Center-Gainesville.

Born in Jackson County, Mrs. Ellis had lived in Hall County for most of her life.  She was the daughter of the late William Owen and Susie Gee Bryant.  Mrs. Ellis was retired from Roses Department Store and was a member of Sugar Hill Baptist Church, of which she was the oldest member.

Survivors include her daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Doug Shaw, Gainesville and a sister, Peggy of Gainesville. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

Mrs. Ellis is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Ewell Ellis, 4 brothers and 4 sisters.

Graveside services will be held Thursday September 19 at 11:00 a.m. at the Memorial Park Cemetery. Rev. Mike Mangum will officiate. The family will receive friends at Little & Davenport Funeral Home Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions please be made to Eagle Ranch, P.O. Box 7200, Chestnut Mountain, Ga. 30502 in memory of Mrs. Ellis.
