Walter Ingram, 79, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away peacefully on October 17, 2024. He was born on June 16, 1945, in Gainesville, Georgia, to the late Henry Ingram and the late Daisy Grizzle. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his daughter, Lisa Ingram. Walter lived a full life, dedicated to his family and cherished by many in the community.
He is survived by his loving children, Deloes Lehman, Angie Hamilton, Gene Ingram, and Shelby Huff. His brothers and sisters, Hank Ingram, Alice McElyea, Shirley Sanford and Charles Ingram, will remember him fondly. Walter was blessed with multiple grandchildren, as well as a host of dear friends and caregivers at Carala’s Caring Hands, who cared for him during his final days.
As we grieve his passing, we take comfort in knowing that, as the saying goes, “What we once enjoyed and deeply loved we can never lose, for all that we love deeply becomes part of us.” Walter's legacy lives on in the hearts of those who loved him.
