Annie Mae Westmoreland

Mrs. Annie Mae Westmoreland, a cherished wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and individual known for her strong, loving, caring and humorous personality, went home to Jesus on October 17, 2024.  Born on August 12, 1935, Ann lived a life filled with tremendous passion and service towards others.

Preceding her in death are her husband, Billy, her children, Jackie and Vickie Westmoreland, her brothers, J. A. Stephens, Lloyd Stephens and Grover Stephens.  Ann is survived by her sister, Lois Bishop, her brothers, Edward Stephens and Horace Stephens, her grandchildren, Josh Westmoreland and Ashley Tumlin, her great-grandchildren, Anna Kate and Henry Westmoreland, Cade, Shannen and Easton Tumlin.  Her departure leaves an unfillable void in their lives, yet they find comfort in the memories and everlasting love they shared.

Ann enjoyed traveling with her husband and friends.  Many evenings were spent enjoying fellowship, camping with friends and family or traveling to area flea markets to buy and sell crafts.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and cooked the best pancake breakfast anyone has ever tasted!  One of Ann’s favorite pastimes was painting.  She learned to paint along with her talented daughter, Vickie.  Her home was filled with various paintings by both artists.  She was also a lifelong member of Pleasant Hill Baptist Church in Hall County, Georgia.  Annie Mae Westmoreland, a beautiful example of strength and love, will forever reside in our hearts.  Her life, exemplified by her family and compassion, will continue to inspire and guide us.  As we struggle with the loss of her physical presence, we find comfort in knowing that her spirit lives on through the precious memories we have of her, and the love they instilled in us.

Funeral services are scheduled for Monday, October 21, 2024 at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home with interment to follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.  Reverend Bryon Hall will officiate.  The family will receive friends on Sunday, October 20, 2024 from 4 – 6 pm and Monday, October 21, 2024 from 1 – 2 pm, prior to the service, at the funeral home.
