Mrs. Morgan died Wednesday, October 16, 2024.

Mrs. Morgan was born in Cumberland, MD. She graduated from Fort Hill High School and received a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the Medical College of Virginia in Richmond, VA. She worked as a nurse at Hall County Hospital, and then as an instructor at Hall School of Nursing until 1965. Music was also a passion of Mrs. Morgan. She played organ and piano for her childhood church, St. Paul's Lutheran, and her high school glee club. She was a dedicated supporter of the arts in Gainesville, including the Grace Episcopal Church Friends of Music and the Lanier Chamber Singers.

Mrs. Morgan was preceded in death by her husband, Jesse Jackson (Jack) Morgan, Jr. and her parents, Byron and Hazel Waite.

She is survived by her daughter, Wendy Morgan, Gainesville; sister and brother-in-law Lana and Preston Wagner, Wake Forest, NC; niece Michelle Wagner, Raleigh, NC; nephew Mark Wagner (Tonya), Hillsborough, NC; sister-in-law Jane Minor, Gainesville; niece Char Butler (Jeff), Maysville, GA; niece Jenny Williams (Scotty), Gainesville; and other relatives.

The family is especially grateful to Dayna Williams, Ashley, and Hospice of Northeast Georgia Medical Center for their loving and compassionate care.
