Connie Hammond

Connie Hammond, age 74, of Clarkesville, Georgia passed away on Sunday, October 27, 2024.

Mrs. Hammond was born on April 21, 1950, in DeKalb County, Georgia to the late Marvin and Ruth Cowart. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ray and Opal Hammond. Connie had retired from the United States Postal Service with 17 years of dedicated service. Connie enjoyed gathering with her Jazzercise friends. Most importantly, she will be remembered as a loving wife and soulmate to her beloved husband, a wonderful mother to her sons, and a precious grandmother to her grandchildren.

Survivors include her loving husband of 44 years, Larry K. Hammond, of Clarkesville; son, Randall Jackson Woodward, of Nashville, TN; step-son, Joshua Dixon Hammond, of Clarkesville; grandchildren, Austin Cole Hammond, Isabella Grace Woodward, Jackson Woodward IV, Thomas Woodward, Everlee Hammond; sister, Shelia Cowart Robertson, of Clarkesville.

Mrs. Hammond's wishes were to be cremated, and no formal services held.
