Anita Tipton Byrd Gound

Anita Tipton Byrd Gound, Age 71, of Buford, Georgia passed away on Monday, November 4, 2024.

 Anita was born in Johnson City, Tennessee on February 26, 1953 to Clyde and Louise Tipton.  She grew up and spent her early life in Johnson City eventually starting a family and life there.  She moved to the Atlanta area in late 1993 to start a new life.  Anita never met a stranger and always found a way to make friends quickly.  She always loved just spending time with family and friends and enjoyed spending as much time laughing and listening to the people in her life. She was an amazing Wife, Mother and Grandmother.  There was nothing she wouldn’t do to help you if she simply just met you.  Heaven just landed an Amazing Angel with her arrival.

 Anita was the daughter of the late Clyde and Louise Tipton.  She was preceded in death by her brother, Larry Tipton.  She is survived by her husband, Gary Gound, her brother, Terry Tipton, her son, Todd Byrd, her stepchildren, Matthew Gound and Anna Frazier, her grandchildren, Amanda and Sara Byrd, Mason and Merritt Gound.  She also leaves behind many friends and neighbors that had become like family over the years. 

 A memorial service will be held on Sunday, November 10^th, 2024 at 2:00 PM at Flanigan Funeral Home located at 4400 S. Lee Street, Buford, GA 30518.  In lieu of flowers, we ask that you consider donating to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America.   The web link is https://alzfdn.org/donate/
