Duward Owen Hulsey

Mr. Duward Owen Hulsey, age 66, of Clermont, Georgia, passed away Tuesday, November 5, 2024.

The family will receive friends from 11 am to 2:00 pm on Friday, November 8, 2024 prior to the service at The Torch, 800 Cannon Bridge Road, Demorest, GA 30535. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, November 8, 2024 at The Torch with interment to follow at Holly Springs Baptist Church Cemetery, Clermont, Georgia.

Duward was born August 6, 1958 in Gainesville, Georgia. He was the son of the late Jack Hulsey and Christine (Smith) Hulsey.

He graduated from North Hall High School. He was the owner and operator of Lanier Lawn Maintenance and a faithful member The Torch Church where he served on the security team.

Duward is survived by his loving wife of 34 years, Martha (Kesler) Hulsey of Clermont; daughter, Hannah Shaw; grandchildren, Sawyer Kate Shaw, Boston Shaw and Mavie Shaw; brother, Darrel Hulsey and a number of other family and friends also survive.

Duward Hulsey was known for his kind heart. He was an avid outdoorsman and hunter. In addition to his business, he operated a country farm nestled at the foot of a mountain.

More than anything he loved and was the protector of his family. He loved his church, helping others and serving the Lord.

Despite multiple health problems and setbacks – his faith never wavered. “He fought a good fight. He finished his race. He kept the faith.”
