Donna Mary Fitz

Mrs. Donna Mary Fitz, age 82 of Gainesville, passed away on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at her residence.

Memorial services will be held at 3:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 13, 2024 with Father Tim Hepburn officiating. The family will receive friends following the service at the church. 

Mrs. Fitz was born January 29, 1942 to the late Rupert & Isabelle Richardson Lux in Johnstown, Pennsylvania. She was a Registered Nurse for over 30 years with several different organizations before retiring from the American Red Cross.

In her spare time, Donna liked playing canasta and mahjong with her friends.  She enjoyed talking with friends and family about their interests.  She loved spending time with her grandchildren and watching them grow into successful adults.  While her children were growing up, she enjoyed volunteering on their endeavors such as cub scouts and girl scouts.

She is survived by her son, Larry (Beth) Fitz of Hiram, GA; daughter, Amy (Kevin) Seaman of Flowery Branch, GA; grandchildren, Jeffrey Fitz, Ken Seaman, & Rachel (Ian) Baerwalde; brothers, Rupert Lux & Daniel Lux; and sisters, Bernadette Cameron, Jean Ann Fullerton, & Lou Ann Partsch.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence R. Fitz; brother, Robert Lux; and sister, Bonnie Prokop.
