John Gardy Crain

Mr. John Gardy Crain, 81, of Gainesville, passed away Sunday, December 1, 2024 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center – Gainesville following an extended illness.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 6, 2024 in the Chapel of Memorial Park Funeral Home. Rev. Dwight Woodall and Rev. Ben Wallis will officiate. The family will receive friends at Memorial Park Funeral Home on Friday from 11:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m.

Born on May 8, 1943 in Gainesville, he as the son of the late Robert Ernest Crain and the late Mattie Bell Woodall Crain. He was retired from Chicopee where he was a loom Fixer. Mr. Crain was a member of Faith Baptist Church.

In addition to his parents, Mr. Crain was preceded in death by his sister, Doris Chambers, and his brothers, Tommy Joe Crain and David Robert Crain.

Mr. Crain is survived by his wife, Carol Crain of Gainesville; daughter and son in law, Tammy and Keith Corn of Oakwood; son and daughter in law, Jeff and Amy Crain of Gainesville; brothers and sister in law, Jerry and Angela Crain of Lula, Donald Crain of Commerce; sister and brother in law, Donna Jean and Ralph Townsend of Gainesville; grandsons, Michael Crain of Gainesville, Jeremy Corn of Oakwood, Malach Corn of Dahlonega and a number of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives.
