Lewis Raymond Bowles Sr.

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. Lewis Raymond Bowles Sr., age 88, of Pendergrass, Georgia, who passed away on Monday, December 9, 2024. Mr. Bowles was born in Jackson County, Georgia and was an HVAC  service technician, working for many years in the area. He also attended Walnut Fork Baptist Church in Hoschton, Georgia. Mr. Bowles was preceded in death by his wife, Opal Roberts Bowles, his mother, Mary Lou Bowles and his brother, Charles Cleveland.

Survivors include his children, Sylvia Brown of Pendergrass, Lewis Raymond Bowles Jr. and his wife Rebecca of Bremen, Calvin Wayne Bowles Sr. of Pendergrass and Milton Paul Bowles and his wife Deann of Nicholson; sister, Annie Lou Keenan of Austell; brothers, Edward Cleveland of Danielsville and Foley Cleveland of Arizona; grandchildren, Adeline Brown, Daniel Bowles, Steven Bowles, Thomas Bowles, Wayne Bowles, Sam Bowles, Christine Bowles, Brian Bowles, Eric Bowles and Kelly Bowles; great grandchildren, Michael, Ethan, Brylee, Sylar, Bethany, Bryson, Elijah, Jaden and Cooper also survive.

A Graveside service will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, at 1:30 P.M. in the Barrow Memorial Gardens in Winder, Georgia with Rev. Tony Bailey officiating. Serving as pallbearers will be Brian, Eric, Sam, Wayne and Daniel.

The visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Evans Funeral Home in Jefferson, prior to the Graveside Service.
