Gary A. Smith

Gary A. Smith, 66, of Dawsonville passed away Tuesday, December 10, 2024 at his residence.

Born December 4, 1958 in Atlanta, he had lived in Dawson County for the past 40 years.  Gary retired from Forrest Hill Resort following several years of service.  He enjoyed fishing, working with his tractor, and spending time with his grandchildren.

Surviving are his wife of 43 years, Laura Smith, Dawsonville; children, James and Tima Pendley, Sheere and Adam Brown, Robbie Smith, Anthony and Alyssa Smith, Maggie Burt; 11 grandchildren; 9 great grandchildren; sisters, Sandra Rodgers, Gerry Bowen; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, December 29, 2024 at 12 noon at the Ball Room at Forrest Hills Resort.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made to the funeral home to assist with final expenses.
