Joy Louise Reeve

Joy Louise Reeve, age 78, of Murrayville, passed away on December 14, 2024. Born on August 16, 1946, in Fulton County, she was the daughter of the late Hubert Reeve and Mildred Brumbelow Reeve. In addition to her parents, Joy was preceded in death by brothers Hurbert H. Reeve and William Brook Reeve.

Joy was a loving, devoted mother and grandmother whose love for her children was the cornerstone of her life. Her nurturing spirit extended beyond her family to countless young lives she touched during her dedicated years as a teacher and bus driver.  She was a member of Trinity Baptist Church in Dawsonville.

Survivors include her beloved children Randy (Lori) Moore of Alpharetta, Lisa (Steve) Vaughan of Dahlonega, Kristy (David) Cheatham of Dawsonville; sister Janet Booth of Alpharetta; grandchildren Andrew Moore of Canton, Stephanie and Anthony Sullens of Dahlonega, Danika Mooney of Dawsonville, Stacy and Justin Davis of Dahlonega, Amanda and Dusty Kenimer of Dahlonega, Matthew and Robyn Gayton of Dawsonville; thirteen great-grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:00 PM on Sunday, December 22, 2024, in the Chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home with the Rev. Gwendell Gravitt officiating.  Interment will follow at Green Lawn Cemetery in Roswell, GA.  The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday, December 21, 2024, from 6:00 PM - 8:00 PM.
