James Allen Cunningham

James Allen Cunningham, age 60, of Lawrenceville, GA (formerly of Buford, GA) passed away on Friday, December 13, 2024. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter and Zelma Cantrell Cunningham; sister, Gloria Smith; brother-in-law, Mike Fortson. Mr. Cunningham is survived by his sisters, Mary Cunningham of Buford, Kathleen Fortson of Buford; brothers, Walter Cunningham, Jr. of Buford, Maxwell (Rhonda) Cunningham of Buford; several nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends. He was born on January 12, 1964 in Buford. Mr. Cunningham graduated from Buford High School in 1982 where he played football for the Buford Wolves. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Cunningham worked for Truss Tech Co for many years. He enjoyed sports, drag racing, watching old movies and loved life and spending time with family and friends. The family would like to express sincere gratitude to Mr. David Parks for his devoted care giving during James’s time of need.

Funeral Services will be held at the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home at 12 noon on Friday, December 20, 2024 with Rev. Eddie Bailey officiating. Interment will follow at the Hillcrest Cemetery in Buford. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday, December 20, 2024 from 10:30 until 12 noon.
