Ms. Freda Karen Holbrooks, age 68 of Mulkey Road, Toccoa passed away Wednesday, December 4, 2024 at her residence.

A daughter of the late James Claborn Holbrooks, Sr. and Sara Mae Rider Holbrooks, she was born October 28, 1956 in Stephens County, Georgia where she had lived all her life.  She was employed with K-Mart for a number of years and later worked as a weigh master for 30 years with Heidelberg Materials Aggregate. She was a member of Old Toccoa Baptist Church.  She enjoyed reading books.

She was preceded in death by her parents.

Survivors include her brothers, James C. Holbrooks, Jr. of Homer, Jack Holbrooks and Jody Holbrooks both of Toccoa; sister, Marie Young of Thomson, Georgia; a number of nieces and nephews.

Memorial service will be Saturday, January 18, 2025, 12:00 noon in the Hillcrest Chapel of the Acree-Davis Funeral Home with The Reverend Roger Elrod and Mr. David Edelberg officiating.
