John Lewis Dyer

John Lewis Dyer, age 84, of Blairsville, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, January 12, 2025. Born on April 12, 1940, in Blairsville, he was the son of the late John and Ida Dyer. A devoted husband, uncle, cousin, and friend, Lewis will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

Lewis was married to his beloved wife, Olene Dyer, for 60 wonderful years. Though they had no children of their own, they were blessed with many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his siblings: Odis Crett Dyer, Mike Dyer, Dorothy Dyer, Lavada Wilson, and Paulette Ramsey. He is survived by his brothers Robert Wayne Dyer and Russell Dyer.

Lewis' family and friends remember him for his devoted relationship with the Lord and his wife. He will be fondly remembered for his musical talent playing the guitar and many memories created with those who had the privilege of knowing him.

A funeral service to honor Lewis will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Mountain View Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Wednesday, January 15, from 4:00 to 6:00 PM, and prior to the service on Thursday.
