Marvis Cincotta Singleton "Flute"

Marvis Cincotta Singleton "Flute" was born July 3, 1965, in Demorest, GA. Marvis made her earthly transition on January 11, 2025. Marvis was proceeded in death by her father Mr. Jimmy Mizell, her mother Ms. Maudell Singleton, and her grandmother who raised her as her own daughter Mrs. Ruby Mizell and a brother/cousin Willie Jermone Pruitt. Marvis "Flute" was educated in the White County School System where she excelled as a student and an athlete. Marvis played both softball and basketball for the Lady Warriors, contributing to the 1981 State Championship. Marvis was a hard worker, holding various jobs in various fields until she found her niche as a USDA Food Safety Inspector where she served for the last 35 years plus with faithfulness. Marvis leaves to cherish her memory: sister Wendy S. Singleton, her brother James B. Singleton. and her sister-in-law Trina Y. Singleton; three bother/cousins: Grady C. Thomas, Dale P. Pruitt, and Terrance A. Wilson, one sister/cousin: Marlaner Trammell, one Uncle Mr. Charles "Junnie" Mizell and one Aunt Mrs. Mae Etta Jackson. Marvis was a very loving and outgoing person that was loved by many and will also be missed by many families, friends, especially her nieces, nephews, great nieces, and great nephews. We will all remember Marvis "Flute" for being so loving and caring that she would give her last to help anyone in need.
 
Funeral service will be held on Friday, January 17, 2025 at Hickory Grove CME Church at 1:00 PM. Visits will be held on Thursday, January 16, 2025 at Wimberly Funeral Home between the hours of 1:00 PM - 8:00 PM. Professional Services Entrusted to Wimberly Funeral Home.
