Sully Berenger Eanes, age 23, of Gainesville, Georgia, passed away on January 17, 2025. He was born on December 11, 2001, in Macon, Georgia, to Brett Eanes and Samantha Eanes-Cocchiarella. Sully is preceded in death by his paternal grandfather Gregory Eanes, maternal grandfather Ken Hedrick, and great-grandmother Margaret Bennett, who held a special place in his heart.
He is survived by his parents, Brett Eanes (Angela) of Gainesville and Samantha Eanes-Cocchiarella of Dahlonega; siblings Simone Eanes of Gainesville, Jordan Easterwood (Haley) of Milledgeville, Maryashley DeGraff (Jordan) of Murrayville, Emmalyn Easterwood and Isabella Eanes of Gainesville; paternal grandmother Sandra Barker of Cullman, Alabama; maternal grandmother Kelli Hedrick Missoula, Montana; grandparents Clyde and Sally Moore of Buckhead; nephew Roy Frazier of Gainesville; and his beloved red pit named Hazel. Numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, and other relatives also survive.
Sully was a unique individual who cherished the outdoors, from hunting deer and duck to camping and fishing, pursuits that brought him great joy. Known for his infectious laughter and warm smile, Sully was described as kind, well-mannered, and thoughtful. He was a protector of his family, especially his sisters, and had a passion for writing poetry and songs, as well as losing himself in the pages of a good book. Hardworking, determined, authentic, and a free spirit, Sully embraced friendships across all walks of life with acceptance and love.
A celebration of life will be held on Wednesday, January 29, 2025, at 6:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 4:00 PM - 6:00 PM.
