Cynthia Younginer Costley
July 17, 1957 – March 31, 2025
With a heart as big as the ocean she loved to sit beside, Cynthia Younginer Costley of Lawrenceville, Georgia, passed away after a courageous battle with stage four brain cancer. Though she left this world too soon, the light she carried within her will continue to shine in the lives of those she touched.
Cynthia was a woman of strength and boundless love, always putting others before herself. Her faith in God was the foundation of her life, and she found peace knowing that heaven awaited her. Her greatest joy was her family, especially her beloved grandchildren, Kaydence and Kale Costley, whom she adored beyond words. Whether she was sharing laughter by a campfire or creating warm memories at home, Cynthia’s love was a constant, unwavering presence.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Phillip Costley; her loving mother, Jean Long; her daughter, Kelsey Hayes, and son-in-law, Steven Hayes; Her son, Chris Costley; and of course, her treasured grandchildren, Kaydence and Kale Costley. Her love and presence will forever be felt in their hearts.
Cynthia found peace in life’s simple joys – planting flowers in her garden, watching her favorite TV shows curled up next to Phillip, feeling the ocean breeze on her face, and spending time with her family camping under the stars. She had a special way of making a house feel like a home.
Her absence leaves an ache that can never be filled, but her love will forever bloom in the hearts of those she left behind. In every sunset, every crashing wave, and every flower that reaches towards the sun, we will find her presence, reminding us to love deeply, laugh often, and cherish every moment.
A memorial service to celebrate Cynthia’s life will be held on Saturday, April 5, 2025, at North Metro Baptist Church from 2:00PM to 3:00PM. Family and friends are invited to share memories, and honor the beautiful life she lived.
