Raymond L. “Ray” Richardson, Jr.

Raymond L. “Ray” Richardson, Jr., 86, of Cumming passed away Tuesday, April 8, 2025.

Born June 8, 1938 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Raymond L. and Althea Richardson, he had been living in this area since 2006 having moved from Kenner, LA.  Ray retired as a salesman with Industrial Welding Supply.  He served as a Deacon at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church and the Archdiocese of Atlanta and Louisiana.  He was a loving grandfather and great grandfather who was very devoted to his family and church.  Also preceding him in death was a son, Michael Kevin Richardson.

Surviving are his wife of 59 years, Mary K. “Kevie” Richardson, Cumming; son and daughter in law, Timothy Bryan and Laura Richardson, Cumming; sister, Jacqueline Areaux, Orange Beach, AL; brother, Henry “Rooster” Richardson, Kenner, LA; 7 grandchildren and a great grandson.

A Memorial Mass will be held Friday, April 25, 2025 at 11 o’clock at Christ the Redeemer Catholic Church.  Fr. Brian Higgins will officiate.
