Michael "Mike" Kennedy

Michael "Mike" Kennedy, age 63, of Dahlonega, Georgia, passed away on April 19, 2025. He was born on August 10, 1961, to the late Louis Kennedy and the Late Clyde White Kennedy. Mike is survived by his loving wife of over 30 years, Regina Kennedy of Dahlonega; his children Ashley Irvin (Todd) of Demorest, and Cannon Truelove of Dahlonega; grandchildren Woods Irvin and Wren Irvin; brother-in-law and sister-in-law Carl and Penny Gibson; and niece and nephew Nick and Angel Gibson.

Mike was a devoted husband, father, and friend known for his selflessness and generous heart. He cherished his grandchildren, delighting in cheering on Woods during baseball games and challenging Wren with math problems. Mike's intelligence shone through his career as a Senior Programmer / Automations Project Manager at Shumate Mechanical, where he worked for many years.

He had a deep passion for three things in life: his family, his love for hot sauce, and his unwavering support for the Georgia Bulldogs.

A celebration of Mike's life will be held on Wednesday, April 30, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Anderson-Underwood Funeral Home. The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until the service hour. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Mike's honor to the American Cancer Society.
