Robert Lowell Ray

Robert Lowell Ray, age 76, of Gainesville, GA, passed away on Monday, April 21 2025. He was preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Estell Ray; parents, Jesse Turk Ray and Margaret Louise Ware; sister, Linda Ann Robinson. Mr. Ray is survived by his daughter, Margaret Estell Ray of Gainesville, GA; sister, Diane (Robbie) Ridgeway of Deland, FL; brothers, Jerome (Louise) Ray of Buford, GA, Johnny (Kay) Ray of Gainesville, GA, Ronnie (Tammy) Ray of Sugar Hill, GA; fourteen nieces and nephews; sixteen great-nieces and nephews; one great-great grandnephew; several cousins.

Mr. Ray was born February 11, 1949 in Marietta, GA. He was a 1968 graduate of north Gwinnett High School and a graduate of Greenleaf School of Business in Atlanta, GA. Mr. Ray has a certificate from Houston Community College in Accounting Principles. He has a Certificate of Recognition from North Harris Community College in Accounting I and II. He also has a Certificate of Recognition from Hall County College, Gainesville GA. Mr. Ray was Honorably discharged from the U.S. Army as A Sergeant. He was a member of Riverside Baptist Church, Sugar Hill, GA.

A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, April 24, 2025 at 2:00 p.m. in the Chapel of Flanigan Funeral Home, Buford, GA, with Rev. Brian Sudderth, and Rev. Danny Sudderth officiating. Interment, with Military Honors, will follow at Riverside Baptist Church Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Wednesday, April 23, 2025, from 4:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Funeral Home.
