Anthony Joseph “Tony” Driver, Sr.

Mr. Anthony Joseph “Tony” Driver, Sr., age 80, of Martin, GA died Tuesday, April 22, 2025 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center, Gainesville. Mr. Driver was born in Lagrange to the late Joseph Carter and Frances Eldora Cherry Driver. He was of the Baptist faith, a veteran of the United States Navy and a retired jeweler. In addition to his parents, Mr. Driver was preceded in death by his son, Anthony Joseph Driver, Jr.

Mr. Driver is survived by his wife, Debra Baetz Driver of Martin; daughters, Lynne Culpepper (Calvin) of Columbus and Kimberly Owensby (Jeremy) of Maysville; brothers, Steve Arrowood of Rome, Joseph Cantrell of Columbus and Larry Jones of Carrolton; grandchildren, Michael Owensby (Hannah), Austin Owensby (Kirsten) and Zoey Owensby; and great-grandchildren, Cayden, Braelynn, Remington, Langston, Kayson and Adeline.

Funeral services will be at 2 PM, Saturday, March 26 at New Bethel Baptist Church with Dr. Billy Owensby officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 1 to 2 PM, Saturday.
