Alexander Funeral Home of Cleveland announces the death of Mr. Paul Loye Payne, age 54 of Clermont. Mr. Payne passed away Friday, January 2, 2009 at Northeast Georgia Medical Center following a brief illness.
Funeral services are scheduled for 2:00 PM, Monday, January 5, 2009 from the chapel of Alexander Funeral Home with the Rev. Kenny Beavers and the Rev. Wade Plott officiating, interment will follow in the New Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery in Union County.
Mr. Payne was born March 20, 1954 in Union County to the late Wayne Payne and Mattie Garrett Payne. He lived most of his life in North Hall where he was employed with Wayne Hatchery for some 20 years as Hatchery Manager.
He is survived by his wife, Wanda Payne, Clermont; daughter and son in law, Tammy and Robert Carter, Clarkesville; daughters, Tina Payne and Amanda Payne both of Clermont; Brother, Loyd Payne, Clermont; Harley Payne, Clermont; sisters, Lois Truelove, Clermont; Linda Ingram, Clermont; Lovell Halsey, Clermont; Grandchildren, Amanda Brooks and Cameron Payne.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Sunday afternoon and evening from 2:00 PM to 9:00PM.
